Learn workplace Essential Skills and receive Pre-Employment Training!

Cabinet building, installation, furniture making, wood windows and doors, millwork, some basic construction and more… The goal is employment in the woodworking industry.

We offer:

  • 2 weeks Essential Skills training
  • 10 Weeks of Wood Shop training at NBCC, Mountain Road, Moncton, NB
  • 12 Weeks on the Job Work Placement (paid)
  • Free shop gear: steel-toed work boots, carpenters’ pouch, tools if required
  • Training allowance while in the training portion of the program
  • Safety certifications with all the latest credentials

You must be:  

  • Between 18– 30 years old
  • At a Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 in English or higher (for the purpose of in-shop safety)
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada 
  • Available for full-time training
  • Committed to attend classes on a full-time basis
